Veterinary Specialist Referrals

As part of our additional services, while our clinic offers a broad range of veterinary care—from routine checkups to more advanced procedures—there are times when a pet’s condition requires specialized attention beyond our scope.

In these cases, we may recommend a referral to a board-certified specialist, such as a neurologist, oncologist, or ophthalmologist. These professionals have advanced expertise and often work with equipment not typically found in general veterinary practices or hospitals.

Our goal is to ensure your pet receives the highest level of care. Even when we refer out, we stay closely involved—communicating with the specialist and handling any necessary follow-ups or post-treatment support back at our clinic.

Microchip Pet Identification

Losing a pet is every owner’s worst fear—but a microchip can significantly improve the odds of a safe return.

A microchip is a small, rice-sized device placed just under the skin near your pet’s neck. It serves as a reliable, long-term form of identification. If your pet is found without a tag, most clinics and shelters will scan for a chip and use its unique ID to access your contact details from a secure database.

Even with the best precautions, accidents can happen. A pet could slip out the door, dash through a broken fence, or escape during a walk. That’s why we recommend combining a microchip with a collar and ID tag to maximize your pet’s safety.

While tags are helpful, they can come off or be removed. A microchip stays with your pet for life, offering peace of mind and a much better chance of reunification. Without one, lost pets may not find their way home and could be adopted by another family—or worse, not adopted at all.

Book a microchipping appointment with us anytime. We can also microchip rabbits, ferrets, birds, and other small pets. While we hope you never need it, it’s always best to be prepared.
